Slavery was the worst in the Caribbean and the States. Usually when someone says "The Caribbean" you think of this beautiful island. It is hard to believe that a lovely place like that once was a nightmare.
Blacks were taken from their home, taken from everything. Slaves were taken on a ship, leaving their families behind. They were beaten, and chained. The black slaves were from Africa and they were also bought. Slaves in the Caribbean were demanded to plant and make sugar canes and other crops for the triangle trade. The Americas were the cause of this demand.
People would sail from Europe, they would first stop in Africa and they would trade weapons, metal, liquor, etc. Then they would go to Caribbean and the slaves would trade rum, salt, sugar cane and other naturally grown thing on the islands.
In 1518, Spain licensed Portuguese traders to ship slaves directly from Africa to the Americas and the first ship load came that year.

Slavery in Canada (1)
This hits close to home. Literally. Some of the slaves in Canada were African but, most were Aboriginal. Aboriginal groups practiced slavery in Canada's geography. There wasn't much Canadian trade with the African slaves.
The native nations enslaved their rivals, they were bought by a nation colony (Colonial Administrators) this continued until 1833.
In 1833, across the British Empire slave trade was formally put to an end.
Canada's role in the trans-Atlantic slave trade was small. Slavery in Canada was usually overcast by the violent slavery in other places in the Americas. Most of the intense slavery was in the colonial Caribbean and American South. Afua Cooper says that slavery is, "Canada's best kept secret, locked within the National Closet."

Purpose and Explanation
Okay, first things first let's explain what slavery is: you are a slave, and not treated like a person but, as property. Slaves were bought, and/or traded.
Slavery isn't happening as much as it did. It is mostly happening in Russia, India, and China. Fortunately, it isn't happening as much as it once did. This is just the intro into slavery, next post will be a little bit of history on slavery.
